The Waldorf Astoria Dubai At The Palm Jumeirah

The Waldorf Astoria is Hilton's second luxury branded hotel in Dubai, located on the famous artificial Palm Jumeirah islands. Nestled a fair way from the city (around a 30-40 minute drive) and on the furthest outer east crescent from the ‘mainland,’ the hotel seems to separate itself from the seventeen plus other luxury hotels, giving a more ‘exclusive’ vibe. The Waldorf offers enough for you and yours to contain yourself nicely for an exclusive resort-type holiday but on a completely different level 5 star level. With six exclusive restaurants and bars, two large pools (one for families and one for adults), a spa, a private beach, a fully equipt gym, and on-the-water activities at your doorstep, this is a significant upgrade from your bog-standard family holiday to an exceptionally elite one.

Details That Matter

  • Expect to pay around £400 ($500) per night at the Waldorf in peak season, but book just outside these times and you can stay in luxury for around £150 ($200) per night. November through to March is peak season; outside of this, it gets significantly warmer, less lively, but stupidly cheaper.

  • Approximately 16 miles (27 km), or 30-40 minutes drive to the Burj Khalifa, Dubai International Airport and other attractions.

  • There's an adult and kids pool - for adult/couple time, avoid the family pool and get there early in the morning; towels are provided.

  • Choose a ‘Skyline Sea View’ room, where you can get a view of the famous Burj Al Arab as well as the water as opposed to looking upon the pools of the hotel.

  • Order food without moving a muscle via QR codes next to your sun lounger at any of the pools and private beach.

  • Experiences and water activities (including private yacht hire) are available on-site with Waldorf’s vetted partners. You can hire a 65 ft yacht for three hours for around £1500 ($1900) if you so choose.
